January 2017 Ipsy Bag

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m going to be sharing what I got in my January 2017 Ipsy Bag. Ipsy is a monthly makeup subscription bag that includes 5 sample size beauty products. This is my second month subscribing to Ipsy.

This month’s theme was “Metropolis”. The products were all geared towards the “city girl”. I got a lip gloss, perfume sample, blush, nailpolish, and eyeshadow. Here is what I think of the products!

Lets start off with the Bag.

I believe the bag was inspired by the big buildings in cities. I really like this bag. It is metallic blue and silver. I like it so much more than last month’s fuzzy pink wristlet. I really love all the thought Ipsy put behind this bag. Pulling inspiration from skyscrapers is really cool!

Now the most important part the products!

Manna Kadar Beauty 3-in-1 eyeshadow in Fantasy

I have never heard of this brand before. This is a very cool product. It can be used as an eyeshadow, blush, and highlighter. It may not work as all 3 for every skin type, but my skin is dark enough that I think I can pull it off as all 3. It’s not full sized, but for an eyeshadow it is a huge pan. I have never had a product that claims to work as an eyeshadow, blush, and highlighter, so I’m excited to try it out!

Model Co. Blush in Peach Bellini

If you know anything about me, you would know that I love peach blush. It’s honestly the only shade of blush I wear. It goes so well with my skin tone. I was thrilled to receive a peach blush in my bag. I like getting products that I have never tried before in my bag, but getting products I know I will use is awesome to! Another plus side is it is SUPER pigmented, so a little goes along way. It’s a generous sample sized blush to!

Trust Fund Beauty Lipgloss in Blame Game

Ipsy releases the products you are getting on the 5th of the month. It told me I was getting a different shade of this gloss than what I actually got. I found that kind of weird. I don’t really care though because it’s GORGEOUS. I tried it out and it is the perfect my lips but better dark browny pink. It’s not sticky and not messy. You can easily apply it without a mirror. Another hit!

Pretty Woman Nail Polish in I’m Not A Ballerina

If you follow my blog you know I’m obsessed with anything nails. I put this nail polish on immediately after I got it in the mail. I love trying out new indie nail polish brands, and the formula on this nail polish is AMAZING. I used two coats and the polish is so smooth and even.(ignore my stubby/uneven nails) Also this color is so me. This was another product that Ipsy said I was going to get a different color in.(Is this a common thing, has it happened to you?) It said I was going to get the grey shade, but I am much happier with this shade. It is so me. I love a light pink polish with a good formula, and this one is so smooth and shiny. Ipsy really nailed it with this product. It is also full sized! The Pretty Woman nail polishes retail for $8 on their website, so it almost paid for your whole bag! Ipsy is on a serious roll this month.

Note Perfume in Pink Peony

I’m not super excited about receiving a perfume sample in my bag, but I don’t mind. The sample is a lot bigger than most average perfume samples, and it has a pump. It’s big enough that i will be able to get a decent amount of use, or it would also be a good as a travel perfume. The perfume as you can judge by the name it is a floral scent but is very woody as well. I will probably throw this in my bag.

This month’s bag was so good! Last month I gave most of the stuff away with the exception of 1 or 2 items. This month I love every single product that they sent me including the super cute bag! I’m going to get such great use out of everything! This was a great first bag of the year, and I hope that their bags continue to be this great the rest of the year! For now I am super happy with my Ipsy subscription. I especially love trying brands that I have never heard of. The value of my bag was $28.82!

I decided to include a few more pictures in my Ipsy bag post this month, so I hope you enjoyed reading!

Are you subscribed to Ipsy? Did you also get a fantastic bag? Let me know what you got in the comments!!

Talk to ya’ll later,

❤ Suhad
